Family Central provides family life education programmes to parents, students, teachers and staff in schools to equip them with effective parenting skills, fostering of parent-child relationship and strengthening of marriages. With the support of Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF), these programmes are made available through School Family Education (SFE) and Parent Education In Pre-School (PEPS).

School Family Education (FamilyMatters@School) – Primary Schools to Junior Colleges
School Family Education (SFE) was conceived by Fei Yue Community Services. The Ministry of Social and Family Development (MSF) adopted the project as part of its multi-prong preventive strategy to strengthen individuals and their families.

Since its implementation in January 2002, it has been a successful start-up with 4 pilot schools and helped 41 schools with the support of MSF. This year, Family Central is serving 22 schools that are on board this programme.

Parent Education In Pre-School (FamilyMatters@School) – Childcare Centres and Kindergartens
The Parent Education in Pre-school (PEPS) Programme was launched on 26 April 2005 by Mrs Yu-Foo Yee Shoon, Minister of State for Community Development, Youth and Sports (MSF). PEPS was introduced at childcare level to further the benefits of progressive parental education in early childhood. The PEPS programme makes family life education resources easily available to parents and caregivers at preschools and provides a platform for parents to interact and learn as a group.

Family Central is currently serving 105 preschools.
